Humble Myself

1 Peter 5:5-6 NIV

[5] In the same way, you who are younger, submit yourselves to your elders. All of you, clothe yourselves with humility toward one another, because, “God opposes the proud but shows favor to the humble.” [6] Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time.

God does really opposes the proud. In my life, I have a high pride of myself and often I have difficulties on showing a humble heart and make many mistakes that offended many people. I learn the hard way how to be humble and grow my conviction in this area.

To my definition, being humble means putting myself down below anyone else. This will help me to really respect others, especially those who are younger than me. 

It is easier to said than to be done, often I do look down those who are young, and I know I had difficulties on respecting someone that who are younger to me.

God told that I have to be humble, yes to elder but also to anyone that I see. God oppose the proud so I have to put myself low to embrace power of God in me.
